Egyptian Day Myth Reliefs
Gods from left: Apep, Babi, Atum Ra- Egyptian myth of the Day.
Ra rises as the sun every morning, Apep (serpent god) swallows the sun every night. Babi (baboon) is traditionally thought of as a god of penance, tearing up the soul of those who, after death, aren't worth ascending to join with Ra as the sun.He (and baboons generally) rise with the sun, on earth, each morning.
